Having seen the direct effects of extreme poverty and hunger in her community, Wawira decided to do something to change this. Armed with passion and a desire to change the plight of the children in her community, Wawira started Food4education to ensure that no child has to learn on an empty stomach. Since its launch in 2012, Food4education has provided hundreds of meals for school children in Kenya, which she does mostly through donations. In this episode we touch on;

  • How Food4Education is helping children in this region of Kenya;
